Description:
|
This training is designed to control inventory, manage bottleneck operations and shorten lead-times through the introduction of Pull Systems. Where flow ceases, a “supermarket” or “buffer inventory” may be required to maintain the total system linkage with the customer and within the system itself. PULL Systems provides this system linkage where flow is not possible by establishing buffer inventory. The students learn by a 6-step design process: Locate the supermarket; size the supermarket; determine the reorder point; determine the reorder quantity; determine the Lead Time for replenishment (EPEI); and establish the Kanban or signal for replenishment. Delivered onsite to all levels of the company. |
