This is an advanced course. Using lecture and PowerPoint and the physical IPC Standard, they will be taught the proper interpretation of the IPC J-STD-001 criteria for Wires and Terminals, Through-Hole and Surface Mount soldering. Attendees need to already be proficient in soldering and familiar with the J-STD-001 document. This course does NOT teach how to solder. Upon successful completion of their exams and soldering workmanship, attendees receive an IPC J-STD Instructor certification. This credential gives them the authority to teach the Specialist/CIS version of this course and allows them access to the IPC training materials needed to teach the IPC J-STD Specialist course.
