The Aviation Maintenance Technology program will prepare students for FAA Certification, and lay the foundation for an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Aviation Maintenance, and can transfer into a four-year program. Students combine certification courses with general academic credit courses. The program provides knowledge and skills necessary for a career working on aviation systems and aircraft throughout the United States. Students prepare for the FAA airframe and powerplant exam leading to certification in General Airframe and Powerplant maintenance. Instruction includes both theory and hands-on practical projects. Designed for: adult, aviation employee, active military/reservist/veteran, dual enrolled high school student.
