Kaizen is the third component of a Lean Business System. Kaizen is the best methodology to rapidly transform processes in support of the Future State Value Stream map. A Material Pull System Kaizen is designed to transform Material Management processes by eliminating computer based Push Systems and replacing them with Pull Systems that visually communicate what inventories need to be purchased, built, moved or shipped. This results in reduced inventories and space, eliminates stock-outs, searching and waiting, while improving capacity, inventory turns and cash flow. Students will learn how to plan, execute, measure and sustain the results of the Material Pull System Kaizen process.
