Description:

This program prepares the individual to successfully teach English to speakers of other languages both in the United States and abroad. It provides the foundational and theoretical knowledge of Communicative Language Teaching, practical skills for teaching English, with an emphasis on adult learners, of all levels, how to assess learner needs and plan effective activities and lessons, how to design your curriculum using a variety of resources and reviews the basics of English grammar. In addition to learning theory, participants also complete a practicum in real classrooms, designing lessons and delivering instruction under the guidance of experienced teachers. The course is 20 hours per week, for 6 weeks, for a total of 120 hours. |
