Description:
|
Learn the ins and outs of remote interpreting, including video and phone (VRI and OPI). Covers office and computer set up, accepting assignments, compensation, medical and legal standards, ethics, and HIPAA. Intense practice sessions and simulations using a variety of platforms and topics such as, Medical Encounters, Depositions, Unemployment Hearings, Educational Hearings, IEP meetings, Due Process Hearings.
Prerequisites: proof of a minimum 40 hours of interpreter training or 2 years experience. HS diploma or equivalent. A brief telephone interview is required before acceptance into this program. |
