The course is designed to provide both awareness and education through classroom and actual “hands-on” exercises with emphasis on the Scientific Method of problem solving, team building and conflict resolution. Managers and trainers will evaluate progress and determine level of competence achieved throughout the apprenticeship period. In Module #2, Manufacturing Principles – Students will learn to understand that managing is a team-based activity that follows a process. The leaders will be trained on the essentials in the basic manufacturing disciplines needed for success. Topics to be taught are production planning, cost and capacity, standard work, and basic principles of lean. This is delivered in person onsite for supervisory roles.
