Using the principles of Lean thinking, both manufacturing and service businesses require an understanding of the methods that are currently in use, as well as what challenges exist in making improvements to achieve a better, more efficient Future State. This course focuses on teaching Process Mapping by introducing several common tools of identification (5S, Value-Add vs. Non-Value Add, 8 Wastes) and by reviewing real-life examples that prevent flow. This course can be taught virtually or in-person.
