Value Stream Mapping (VSM) is a Lean Manufacturing technique used to analyze and design the flow of material and/or information. It enables a company to identify and eliminate waste in order to streamline work processes, cut lead times, reduce costs, and increase quality. During this course participants will develop theoretical and practical applications of VSM concepts, tools, and techniques through a combination of classroom instruction and team-based exercises. Training is appropriate for anyone who is interested in learning how VSM can help their organization understand the flow of materials and information through a production system, or anyone who needs a refresher on the basics of VSM. It is available on-site at your organization.
