Word 1 is a beginning course. Students receive foundational skills to become functioning users of word. Students will learn using the ribbon, status bar, scroll bars, and view options. Class moves to group and commands and fonts. Closing and saving docs with use of templates is covered. Added topics, managing text by highlighting/selecting. Reference to ADA compliance. The class features advanced formatting with paragraph alignment and line spacing. Sorting is introduced. Courses can be taken in one/two, or three sessions totaling six hours. The course is offered virtually, and, logistics permitting, in person. Courses are instructor led with students encouraged to bring practical workplace situations to class as learning examples.
