With Access Introduction and Application, students design, develop, and implement a proprietary database. The course starts with understanding databases evolving into table creation and entering data. Understanding how data enters the database, students get exposed to understanding data types and field properties. Students perform tasks as creating tables, reports, and queries. Later stages focus on data retrieval, sorting and specialized filters. There is no prerequisite to the class. Courses can be in 1,2, or 3 sessions totaling 6 hours. The course is offered virtually, and with logistics permitting, in person. Courses are instructor led with students encouraged to bring practical workplace situations to class as learning examples.
