Lean Manufacturing focuses on the identification of waste in its 7 deadly forms followed by investigating to determine root cause and then eliminating or greatly reducing the waste. The prevention of waste involves the design and continuous improvement of the production and delivery processes. The purpose of this course is to provide an understanding of waste and its impact on company performance and then learn a practical approach to discover, eliminate, and prevent waste. This course, targeted to hourly workers will be taught in person in a mix of class lecture, group discussion and hands-on activities and exercises.
