The course uses hands-on exercises based on inventory data, enabling participants to achieve an understanding of both the principles and the activities of cycle counting. Exercises include ABC classification, setting count “triggers”, identifying root cause of errors and identifying trial count items. The objective is to have participants:
•Explain advantages of achieving inventory accuracy
•Define/develop the parameters of a cycle counting program
•Operate a cycle counting program and collect data
•Analyze reports and determine corrective actions
This course, targeted to those involved with inventory accuracy, will be taught in person in a mix of class lecture, group discussion and hands-on activities and exercises.
