Practical Leadership is targeted at the supervisor or manager who has begun to understand and incorporate leadership skills in their daily activities. The course’s approach is to teach how to establish a connection with potential followers and then turn them into actual followers through communication skills, such as listening skills, presenting skills, recognizing and dealing with emotions, etc. The objective of this course is to teach leadership behaviors by distinguishing between leadership and management; identifying and applying the skills of an effective leader etc. This course will be taught in person in a mixture of lecture, discussion and role plays using the class's workplace situations.
