Word L 1 is a beginning course. Students receive foundational skills to become users of Word. Students will learn how to use the ribbon, status bar, scroll bars, and view options. Class then moves to group and commands and fonts. Closing and saving documents and use of templates. Added topics, managing text by highlighting and selecting. Reference to ADA compliance. The class moves to more advanced formatting with paragraph alignment and line spacing. Sorting is introduced. Courses can be in 1,2, or 3 sessions totaling 6 hours. The course is offered virtually, and, logistics permitting, in person. Courses are instructor led with students encouraged to bring practical workplace situations to class as learning examples.
