This course provides an understanding of the concepts and requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and an overview of steps to implement the standard with a view to becoming independently accredited. It covers the relationship between ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 9001 and the difference between certification and accreditation, and includes an overview and clause-by-clause examination of ISO/IEC 17025. Through lecture and classroom exercises participants learn basic quality concepts such as customer focus, process approach, continual improvement, and risk management.
