Basic Blueprint Reading provides students with flexible courseware and instruction that enables them to understand the various types of blueprints used in an industrial environment. Trainees discover how to comprehend, and interpret the different types of standard symbols and abbreviations found on mechanical drawings. They will learn scales, line types, views and sections, dimensions and tolerances, symbols and notations, common GD&T symbols, and how to draw multi-view sketches of simple objects that accurately show all the details of the objects. This course, targeted to employees working with blueprints/drawings, will be taught in person in a mix of class lecture, group discussion and hands-on activities and exercises.
