Description:
|
Before many of us turned to remote work due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many workers had already gravitated to telecommuting or remote work. As these employees scatter to the winds, we face new challenges regarding our state tax filing responsibilities. Businesses must navigate these additional connections to the states as states find ever-increasing ways to reach across their borders to subject them to tax. In this session, we will address the tax filing responsibilities of businesses wrestling with remote workers, economic presence (Wayfair and factor presence), and more recent assertions of electronic presence by states. Using real-life examples and participant questions, we will illustrate the tax filing responsibilities of businesses |
