This introductory-level and in-person course will provide an overview of industrially accepted dimensioning and tolerancing concepts as they affect engineering, production and quality control processes to provide economic and technical advantages. The standard for dimensioning and tolerancing practices, ASME Y14.5 1994, is used to discuss principles of datum referencing symbology tolerances of position, form and runout functional gauging conventional dimensioning techniques. This standard is also a component of the ISO 9000 quality standard. Taking this course will help professionals advance their knowledge and skills to keep pace with everchanging requirements of their job. The ideal audience for this course is Engineers and Technicians. |
