In this course, participants will gain an understanding of what curriculum mapping is, the steps involved to create a robust curriculum map, and be guided through a sample curriculum map. The participants will learn through in-person lectures; there will be group activities to begin a curriculum map based on grade level standards. Through this introduction to curriculum mapping, participants will review their curriculum and will utilize this process to identify what their students have learned, allowing them to focus on building on previous knowledge. The ideal audience for this course are classroom teachers, aides, department heads, school administrators, and interested professionals.
