In this course, attendees will (1) learn about the key drivers for water conservation and efficiency, and be able to differentiate between water conservation and efficiency; (2) learn about the regulatory aspects of water efficiency and conservation specifically in Massachusetts including the Massachusetts Water Conservation Standards, and (3) be able to analyze building use schedules, develop design flows, and estimate actual flows to develop a preliminary water balance which includes estimation of consumptive and non-consumptive water uses and potable and non potable water demands. This course is intended for building industry professionals. It can be held virtually or in-person and is a combination of presentation and discussion.
