While landscape and turf professionals may be knowledgeable about the state regulations that govern the type of work they normally do, students will learn the state regulations that govern certain aspects of invasive plant management and how they may be different. Topics covered are state regulations including the Wetlands Protection Act, the Rivers Protection Act, and pesticide regulations, including those specific to right-of-ways. This class is Part 2 of a 4-part series towards earning UMass Extension's Invasive Plant Management Certification. Designed for landscapers, grounds managers, DPW employees, and others employed to do invasive plant management.
