This course is designed to give students insight into the Value creation process “on the floor” and how they play either a supplier role or a customer role within that process. Through in person or virtual lecture students will learn a) What is value, how is it created and how it flows through the Value Stream b) What inputs are required for effective and efficient value creation and where do they come from. c) How your department’s processes interact with Operations’ processes and either help or hinder value creation and d) How to implement appropriate Value Stream metrics to improve inter-departmental performance and communication. The ideal audience for this course is senior managers and middle managers.
