There are varying reasons why firms decide to create a new role of Sustainability Director or Corporate Sustainability Officer. Regardless of the motivation, it is important to understand that this role evolves with a firm's transformation over time, and that there are different models of sustainability governance. This workshop helps participants identify questions to ask themselves, how a firm and this role can evolve over time, what expectations to set, and more. Participants will learn what skills and knowledge to be looking for in a candidate, given their firm's culture and style. This course is intended for building industry professionals. It can be held virtually or in-person and is a combination of presentation and discussion.
