In this course, participants will learn how to recognize a choking victim; and to respond using Abdominal Thrusts (aka Heimlich Maneuver). The participants will be guided by a certified CPR trainer who will lead them through hands-on activities and step by step instructions. Taking this course will improve the participants’ understanding of how to recognize the signals of a breathing emergency, how to care for a person who is choking, identify how to reduce the risk of disease transmission when giving care, and learn how to perform CPR. The ideal audience for this course is hospitality and service industry workers and interested professionals.
