4 Hour-Topics covered will include employer and employee rights and responsibilities; motivating safe work practices through a review of data and statistics; theories on accident causation; identifying the root cause of accidents; communication and problem-solving between workers and managers; and identifying and supporting next steps in worker health and safety. Working in small groups, attendees will learn and apply safety analyses and controls which may then be implemented within their town immediately to have a positive effect on worker health and safety.
This course can be taught in-person or virtually. There are breakout sessions for participants to work on group exercises together, as well as independent work.
