There is little consensus on what critical thinking and problem solving are. Within the context of management however there is widespread agreement that viewing an issue from multiple perspectives leads to more effective courses of action. This course, designed for Supervisors, Managers, and above, including Senior Leadership, draws upon the work of Edward DeBono’s Six Thinking Hats model. Through exercises and facilitated discussions participants are introduced to a process of perspective taking or stakeholder analysis and learn to assess situations using a PIN process that focuses on problems, interests, and needs of those directly or indirectly affected by a problem, issue, or impending change. Training is available onsite or virtually.
