This course teaches you how to use CAD software to build simple parametric models of parts to assist in making parts for CAM applications. It is designed for students who have knowledge in CNC machining and CNC programming, but have not taken SolidWorks Essentials and need to advance to the SOLIDWORKS CAM Standard Essentials. Topics include SolidWorks Basics and the User Interface, Introduction to Sketching, Basic Part Modeling, Symmetry and Draft, Patterning, and Revolved Features. Class is 14 hours total, either 2 days in-classroom or 5 days of 2-hour sessions online plus 4 hours of exercises.
