GDT ASME Y14.5-2018 is the most current standard defining dimensioning and tolerancing practices and their interpretation. It contains many clarifications and improvements on the standard it replaces. Changes include: concept of feature of size; datum references and degrees of freedom; composite position tolerances; surface boundaries and axis methods of interpretation; profile tolerances; and symbology and modifier tools. This course highlights the most significant changes through synchronous instructor-led lecture/discussion, and individual/group work sessions. It is appropriate for a wide range of design and manufacturing personnel and is available at the QSG training facility. (Basic GDT and 1 year on-the-job experience prerequisites).
