This hybrid class course will be facilitated in both online and in classroom on campus and will teach students essential concepts of dental radiology, including radiation hazards and safeguards, production and control of the dental x-ray beam, and intra-oral and extra-oral techniques, for dental assistants to legally operate dental x-ray equipment and perform dental radiographic procedures in Massachusetts. Classroom and laboratory instruction in x-ray exposure and processing techniques, as well as interpretation of dental radiographs is designed to prepare the student for clinical experience. |
