This training examines select topics through instructor led discussion, applicable scenarios, group activities, and self-reflection. Topics may include: Defining the Meaning of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and other DEI related terms; Cultural Self-reflection; Implicit Bias; Institutional and Systemic Racism; Historical Barriers and Opportunities to Access and Resources; and Recruiting, Retaining, and Embracing Diversity.
This workshop is for trainees who want to build consensus on DEI terms and concepts to establish a common understanding in their places of work. Small group work provides opportunities to normalize practices of considering other perspectives.
