Description:

This in-person course introduces CNC programming. It’s focus is to breakdown the G and M coding of programs so that students can create and interpret the code at the CNC machine. Student will hand write programs for Mill and Lathe operations using acceptable practices and machine shop practices. Strict shop standards will be utilized in the programming format and arrangement. Students will use simulation tools to first validate their code, from here they will transition to the CNC machine, set up tooling, and securely fixture material prior to dry run validation, first run validation and finally full production run validation and verification.
