Description:

The U.S. FDA UDI Rule establishes a unique device identification system for medical devices, and under the rule, devices will be marked with a UDI that will appear on their labels and packages. Device labelers will also need to submit device information to an FDA database called the Global Unique Device Identification Database (GUDID). This course is designed for medical device employees involved in labeling who need to implement UDI requirements using GS1 Standards. Through lecture and classroom exercises, participants learn about GS1 identification, barcode, and data standards that can be used to implement UDI Rule requirements, as well as options for submitting data to the GUDID. Training is available at QSG’s facility and virtually. |
