In this in-person course, students will learn about the various Lean tools and methods (A3, Kata, 5 Whys, etc.) that will help increase the problem solving abilities of their team(s). They will also learn how each tool follows the 8-step Problem-solving process, and how it follows the PDCA cycle. Topics discussed include: How to develop a clear problem statement, developing measurement criteria, how results will be measured (PDCA cycle), as well as how to approach problem solving within a team environment. Students are encouraged to bring unresolved work problems to class for use as examples during the hands on portion of class. This course is for front line associates, supervisors and managers who wish to learn about problem solving.
