Description:

This is a 3 credit synchronous online lecture and hands-on lab course in Lowell MA campus. This course is part of the Dental Assisting program. Graduates can apply for the Dental Assisting licenses. This course is taken concurrently with Dental Science 1, Preclinical, Dental Assisting and Dental Radiology. This course is designed to familiarize students with concepts essential to the practice of managing a medical emergency. Students will be introduced to the pharmacology that aids in the management of a medical emergency in dental settings. Included are the basic principles of first aid, medical emergencies, and occupational hazards. This course is designed for immunized adult able to carry 5 lbs and legally permitted to work. |
