This in-person course will help students with mechanical assembly, proper use of electronic hand and mechanical measuring tools* (calipers/height gauge), blueprint reading instructions. Participants will gain knowledge of orthographic projection principles, dimensioning, tolerances, interpretation of multi-view, section, and assembly drawings; numbering systems; drawing format; change control, and print control systems. This course will enhance employees’ understanding of assembly drawing notes (detailed inst, torque specs, epoxy app, sealing ops, marking details, environmental/testing reqs, and paint/plating/finish reqs*). Ideal audience for this course is entry-level technicians. *Materials, tools, supplies will be provided by employer.
