Description:
|
This workshop will balance key principles of additive manufacturing (aka 3D printing) with teaching of practical skills and problem-solving activities. Workshop participants will engage in a case study–using either stock problem contexts supplied by MIT, or by investigating an opportunity based on their own firms’ parts or products. The end goal will be to identify and analyze an engineered solution using AM, with guidance from MIT technical experts, and through teamwork with other participants. Participants will walk away with a clear next step for applying AM technology in their organization. Course is mostly in-person on MIT's campus and includes lectures and hands-on project work in teams. Projects can also be worked on asynchronously. |
