A high need, high demand field, this program covers all components and functions of an outboard engine. The following topics will be covered, common parts and tools, electrical, outboard electrical, powerheads, lubrication, drive train, propellers, brackets, corrosion and rigging. Students successfully completing have developed the skill sets as an entry-level Outboard Engine Technician and will receive a Yamaha industry-recognized credential. Instruction is hybrid with in-person classroom instruction, Zoom, onsite technical instruction, and online instruction. Students will receive career coaching, curriculum support, as well as hands-on training.
