This course is specifically designed for individuals whose first language is not English. This course expands on basic skills and focuses on providing students with the language skills and specialized vocabulary necessary to build on basic communication and will contribute to better working relationships amongst staff. Course will be delivered by an instructor using video, power point/handouts, in class. Course is directed at trainees who have beginner to intermediate English language skills. Course will be a combination of Grammar, reading, spelling and contextualized workplace ESL/safety/work instructions and based on student language assessment.
