Description:

The ECEA Program offers paid full-time employment at a local early education center, classroom instruction, 2,000 hours of on-the-job work training, and 150 hours of technical training, including a 3-credit Child Development college course. The program also provides ongoing, on-the-job coaching/mentoring with experienced early childhood educators and contextualized ESOL for English learners. Academic skills are also core to the Apprenticeship Program. The training includes academic writing that builds capacity and improves the ability to write case notes, assessments, and communication with families. It will also focus on raising awareness of the stages of child development and building a foundation of knowledge for working with children. |
